Whiting’s, Albuquerque’s go to for coffee enthusiasts.

Whiting Coffee is Albuquerque’s go to for coffee enthusiasts. This coffee roaster, and tea shop has it all, coffee swag, fresh roasted coffee, chocolate, coffee equipment, fresh black, green and herbal tea selections, that would make any health food store pay attention.

We discovered Whitings this year on our southwest part of Java Journey 2024. They are primarily a coffee and tea roaster that has a coffee bar in their lobby. There is seating out side only, but don’t let that deter you from making a stop there. What sets Whiting’s apart is that they have hard to get, and obscure coffee selections that are roasted right there. The coffee selection menu will change as coffee beans come and go through their shop.

What else is there?

Their tea is note worthy, as I stated earlier, Whitings has a very large and impressive loose leaf tea selection that covers every angle for a tea drinker. The tea is out front with the coffee, not hidden in a separate room. You can purchase your teas in several weight sizes fitting your need and consumption. 

How is the customer service?

We had some espresso drinks to go, and the quality of service was fantastic! The young gentlemen working there were very personable, and knowledgeable about their coffee, and tea. I did try a new espresso drink, the Canella, which for me was the much needed caffeine charge that I needed for the next leg of our journey. I did find an exotic coffee from Indonesia that I am excited to try, it was highly recommended by the staff, and Whitings only had a small batch of it to roast.

So yes, if you find yourself in Albuquerque, New Mexico and you need some high quality coffee and/or tea, Whiting Coffee is the place for you.
