MOD Coffee and Tea House, MOD for modern
MOD Coffee and Tea House is a funky little coffee shop in the Strand district area of Historic Downtown Galveston! They have come back after hurricane Ike. It is place where you can go to get away from the noise and hassle of the Market Street crowd. There you will meet a wide range and diverse group of people at any given time. The medical student, to developer goth chic to hippie chic, and tourist to local. Thursday nights is when they have a Scrabble night and all are welcome.
MOD Coffee and Tea House supports the local artist with art work on the walls of the coffee house to view while you are enjoying your coffee at one of there special collaged tables! Each table has a theme! the DC comic table, Frida Khalo table etc..
They have “The Community Room”. This is a place for the person to escape to for serious study and or reading.
In the afternoons on to evenings you can get a glass of wine or beer and sit outside on their patio.
